Father Says His Son was Executed by FSB

Kavkaz-Uzel reported that according to Khasan Tsoroev, father of Beslan Tsoroev, a resident of Ordzhonikidzevskaya village, Sunzha District of Ingushetia, assassinated yesterday, his son fell victim of extrajudicial execution.

According to the Department for Ingushetia of the FSB (Federal Security Bureau) of Russia, Beslan Tsoroev, 24, was killed as a result of an armed clash with FSB agents and militiamen, who blocked a house with suspected militants inside. According to power agents, Beslan was an active member of the armed underground; when offered to surrender, he rendering armed resistance and was shot dead.

Health and Human Rights: No Miracle in Chechnya

Nearly 15 years after the wars began between Chechen separatist and Russian troops, Chechnya and its capital Grozny have seen reconstruction efforts and economic recovery over the past several years that some there even praise as “the Chechen miracle”. Meanwhile, violent incidents in Chechnya have become dramatically more prevalent since the war over South Ossetia between Georgia and Russia last August. Violent deaths, compared with those last summer, have almost doubled in number since, from 84 to 152.(1)

At the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), Russia has lost another case to relatives of five residents of Chechnya kidnapped in 2003. Under the decision of the Court, the victims should get in total 215,000 euros of compensation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the ECtHR receives a record number of complaints from Russians, mostly - from residents of Chechnya.

Chechnya: Abducted Youngs Found Dead

Two young were found dead in Chechnya on the last week of November at the same day.  

According to local sources, A man with gunshot wounds was found on the skirts of Serzhen Yurt settlement in Shali district of Chechnya. A gun was laying near the murdered man. Gang members of puppet regime in Chechnya have invited relatives of the young for identifying him. The relatives identified the corpse, he was Alikhan Sultanovich Markuyeva, was born in 1988, was kidnapped two times in this year -28 July and 2 August- by mobsters of puppet Kadirov. Since the second abduction his fate was unknown.

The Slovenian Democratic Party has called for the dismissal of the current Russian ambassador, saying that his past “degrades Slovenia’s reputation.”

The opposition Slovenian Democratic Party (SDS – Slovenska Demokratska Stranka), led by the former Prime Minister Janez Janša, has demanded an emergency session of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee to discuss the appointment of Doku Zavgayev as ambassador. According to the SDS, he was involved in the war in Chechenya, where human rights were grossly violated.
